Sample itinerary for Spanish & French Montreal trips

DAY 1

  • Meet with your tour leader and begin with an introduction to the history of Montreal and its rich cultural & linguistic heritage.
  • Explore the hip Plateau Mont-Royal's vintage clothing stores, record shops and quaint cafés, or stop by l'Española or la Librairie Gallimard for some authentic souvenirs.
  • Witness the emotion and passion of the Andalusian art of Flamenco as local dancers and musicians take over the floor at tonight's dinner.

DAY 2

  • Head out on a sightseeing tour of the multicultural communities of Montreal with a local guide to discover, Little Portugal, Little Italy, Chinatown, the Mile-End and more!
  • Discover how Montrealers brave the cold winter months as you visit the Underground City, a network of malls, museums and restaurants.
  • Learn the steps to becoming a true improv champ during a fun interactive improvisation workshop.
  • Feast and dance the evening away during your authentic French Canadian sugar shack experience.

DAY 3

  • Graffiti art is huge in Montreal, so it's only fitting that you begin the day with a graffiti workshop where local artists will show you how to (legally!) create your own urban masterpieces.
  • Head on an orientation walk through charming Old Montreal with your tour leader to see Place Jacques Cartier, City Hall, Marché Bonsecours, the Old Port, Notre Dame Basilica and more.
  • Enjoy a bike tour along the gorgeous Lachine Canal, a scenic 13.5 kilometer-long urban park.
  • Let the rhythm (and professional musicians) guide you during your hands-on Latin American percussion workshop.

DAY 4

  • Travel through the ecosystems of the Americas as you visit Montreal's newly renovated Biodome, followed by a tour of the Olympic Stadium, host to the 1976 Summer Olympics.
  • Take in the sights and sounds of the Marché Jean-Talon, Montreal’s busiest - and most delicious - outdoor market, as you partake in our Grocery Scavenger Hunt in French or in Spanish!
