Sample itinerary for Scotland & London trips

DAY 1 · DEPARTURE

  • Meet with your group at your local airport and take off aboard your overnight flight to Edinburgh.

DAY 2 · EDINBURGH - INVERNESS

  • Arrive in Edinburgh—it’s time to begin your trip! Hop aboard a local motor coach and continue your journey towards Inverness.
  • Follow your Tour Director along Inverness's Historic Trail and enjoy the best of the Old City and the New Town. Discover iconic monuments such as the 12th-century Inverness Castle, the cathedral, and the Victorian Market.
  • Check in at the hotel, settle into your rooms, and take some time to relax and unwind before your dinner at the hotel.

DAY 3 · INVERNESS - FORT WILLIAM

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
  • Sail on Scotland’s most famous lake during your cruise on Loch Ness, and visit the impressive ruins of Urquhart Castle, with a chance to spot the legendary Loch Ness Monster.
  • Experience a hike in the Scottish Highlands, known for their ancient castles and stunning sunsets, or visit the Glencoe Valley, famous for its dramatic landscapes and historical significance.
  • Have dinner at a lovely local restaurant and head to the hotel for a good night's rest.

DAY 4 · FORT WILLIAM - EDINBURGH

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
  • Travel through the scenic Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, taking in the natural beauty of the Highlands.
  • Explore Stirling Castle, a symbol of Scotland’s struggle for independence, known for its colourful history.
  • Learn about Scotland’s fight for independence at the Wallace Monument, which commemorates the 13th-century hero William Wallace.
  • Experience the innovative Falkirk Wheel, a boat lift that elevates vessels 35 metres high to join the Union Canal, before making your way to Edinburgh for the night.
  • Have dinner at a lovely local restaurant and head to the hotel for a good night's rest.

DAY 5 · EDINBURGH

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
  • Enjoy an orientation tour of Edinburgh, Scotland's capital city, with your Tour Director. Wander through the Old City, immersed in its medieval atmosphere, and stroll along the narrow passages and alleys. You will also explore a more recent part of the city, which has UNESCO World Heritage Site status.
  • Tour the famous Edinburgh Castle and the pristine Holyrood Palace—the King’s official Edinburgh residence.
  • Spend some time exploring Edinburgh. Wander through Edinburgh’s Royal Mile, St Giles Cathedral, the Royal Botanic Garden, and Princess Street.
  • Have dinner at a lovely local restaurant and head to the hotel for a good night's rest.

DAY 6 · EDINBURGH - LONDON

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
  • It’s time to head to London’s King’s Cross train station for the next part of your journey!
  • Enjoy free time at Covent Garden Market, fully immersing yourself in London culture. Explore this vibrant area filled with restaurants, theatres, and shops while admiring its lovely architecture.
  • Visit Westminster Abbey, a cornerstone of British history, known for the Queen Mother’s wedding, Princess Diana’s funeral, and as the burial place of Isaac Newton and Charles Darwin.
  • Have dinner at a lovely local restaurant and head to the hotel for a good night's rest.

DAY 7 · LONDON

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
  • Enjoy a walking tour to see some of London’s most famous landmarks, such as Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Downing Street, Parliament Square, St. James Park, and Buckingham Palace, among many iconic stops.
  • At your own pace, visit one of the world’s greatest museums: the British Museum, dedicated to human history, art, and culture.
  • Take a breath of fresh air away from the bustling city as you explore Hyde Park, London’s largest park. Stroll along the Serpentine Lake, discover the Diana Memorial Fountain, admire the Rose Garden's flowers, or enjoy the many monuments and statues scattered throughout the park.
  • Have dinner at a lovely local restaurant and head to the hotel for a good night's rest.

DAY 8 · LONDON

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
  • London's Tower Bridge is perhaps the most renowned symbol of the city. Discover its colourful history, from Victorian times to the present day, through interactive displays in the towers. Experience the thrill of walking on high-level walkways above the Thames and take in stunning views of the city.
  • Enjoy some free time at Borough Market, London's most famous food and drink market! Located at the foot of The Shard, you’ll find everything you need to eat like a true Londoner!
  • Tour the Tower of London to discover the fortress that holds the Crown jewels and learn about its intriguing history
  • Spend the evening on a ‘Jack the Ripper’ guided tour, exploring the infamous murders in the Whitechapel neighbourhood of London during the 19th century.
  • Have dinner at a lovely local restaurant and head to the hotel for a good night's rest.

DAY 9 · LONDON

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
  • Walk along the Thames River in one of London’s most vibrant neighbourhoods: the South Bank. Spot the National Theatre and historic pubs, stop to view the London Eye from the tree-lined walkway, and pause to watch one of the area’s famous street performers.
  • Hop on the London Eye, a stunning feat of design that has transformed the city’s skyline, for some of the best views of the city!
  • Enjoy a full afternoon of free time in London! Perhaps revisit favourite neighbourhoods, explore the National Gallery, or wander through Harrods or Primark department stores.
  • Have dinner at a lovely local restaurant and head to the hotel for a good night's rest.

DAY 10 · LONDON - DEPARTURE

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
  • With your head and luggage full of memories, make your way to the airport to catch your flight home.
