Sample itinerary for Quebec City Winter Trips

DAY 1

  • As you hike up, down, and around town with a local guide, you'll see the Plains of Abraham, Parliament, Grande Allée, Quartier Petit Champlain, Place Royale and Château Frontenac.
  • Stop to admire "La Fresque des Québécois", and see how many characters of Quebec's history you can identify!
  • Take in the view from the top of the city’s tallest building: l’Observatoire de la Capitale during your self-guided visit.
  • Go tobogganing by the Château Frontenac on the world famous Terrasse Dufferin wooden toboggan run, and then warm up with a cup of hot chocolate.

DAY 2

  • Visit Le Village Huron to learn more about the First Nations ways of life, past, present and future.
  • See how guests stay warm in the themed suites of the Hotel de Glace de Québec during your guided tour.
  • Try out all of the fun snow slides at the Village Vacances Valcartier.
  • Participate in a French-Canadian legends theatre workshop.

DAY 3

  • Discover La Côte-de-Beaupré! Visit the Ste-Anne de Beaupré shrine, the Canyon Ste-Anne, the storytellers at Atelier Paré, and the iconic Montmorency Falls. And while your there, take part in a copper engraving workshop, or enjoy a Québécois classic, a delicious poutine.
  • Take in the charm of Old Quebec with your group during some free time to explore. 
  • Drive your own dogsledding team as you and your friends go cruising through the maple groves.
  • Feast and dance the evening away during your authentic French Canadian sugar shack experience.

DAY 4

  • Get ready for your historical military training at the Plains of Abraham Museum.
  • Partake in our Grocery Scavenger Hunt at le Grand Marché de Québec, Quebec City's brand new farmers market!
  • With your hearts and heads full of wonderful memories, it's time to leave the Old Walled City and say "à la prochaine" (until next time)!
