STUDENT TOURS TO PORTUGAL

DAY 1

• Take off aboard your overnight flight to Portugal.

DAY 2

• Arrival in Porto—it's time to begin your trip! 
• Transfer to the city center to drop off your luggage at the hotel, followed by free time to start your exploration or to rest and unwind. 
• Enjoy a delicious dinner at a local restaurant close to the hotel.

DAY 3

• Follow your local guide, who will show you Porto’s treasures, such as the Church of Carmelitas, the Palácio da Bolsa, and the Church of St. Francis. 
• Enjoy a scenic cruise on the Douro River for a unique perspective of the city. 
• Take a stroll through the Mercado do Bolhão, built in 1914, which is one of Porto's liveliest spots! Hit the road to the Douro Valley. 
• You can't visit the Porto region without discovering how the famous Port wine is made! Visit a local winery and learn all the secrets behind this iconic local wine.

DAY 4

• Depart for the historic city of Coimbra. Visit Coimbra, known as the “City of Students,” and explore its ancient university—one of Europe’s oldest. 
• Meet back with your driver and continue your journey towards Nazaré. 
• Stop en route to visit one of Portugal's jewels. Admire the Gothic architecture of the UNESCO World Heritage sites: Batalha Monastery and the Monastery of Alcobaça. 
• Experience the coastal beauty and record-breaking waves of Nazaré.

DAY 5

• It's time to depart for Batalha! 
• Visit the Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitória, an imposing monument of Gothic architecture that commemorates the historic victory of the Portuguese over the Spaniards in the 14th century. 
• Continue your travels towards Tomar.
• Explore Tomar, this charming old town, from the Convent of Christ to the Templar Castle and the serene Nabão River. 

DAY 6

• All aboard! Departure for Sintra! 
• Stop en route to explore the charming village of Óbidos, which overlooks a vast green valley with hills topped by windmills. Stroll through the medieval streets dating back to the 12th century. 
• Majestic palaces, impressive mansions, and a fantastic castle nestled in the heart of a forest await you in Sintra! Pena Palace will dazzle you!
• It was worth the wait; tonight you will sleep in Lisbon.

DAY 7

• Welcome to Lisbon, the capital of Portugal! 
• From the Alfama district and its Moorish heritage to the more recent district of Baixa, Lisbon is filled with treasures that you will discover during a guided tour. 
• Depart for a self-guided visit of the Jerónimos Monastery, a 16th-century architectural masterpiece designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983. Enjoy your visit!

DAY 8

• Next stop: Cascais! Explore this charming seaside town, blending a traditional fishing village with trendy shops and restaurants. Enjoy the scenic shore!
• Departure for a day excursion in the Algarve! 
• First stop: the Algarve coast! Explore charming whitewashed villages and the fortified capital, Faro, known for its stunning architecture and rich history.
• Explore the vibrant town of Albufeira, known for its pristine beaches and picturesque coastline, and enjoy a sunset boat cruise or kayak tour to Benagil Cave.

DAY 9

• With your head and luggage full of memories, make your way to Faro Airport to catch your flight home. Até breve, Portugal!
