Sample itinerary for Rome, Florence & Venice trips

DAY 1 · DEPARTURE

  • Meet with your group at your local airport and take off aboard your overnight flight to Italy.

DAY 2 · ROME

  • Arrive in Rome and meet your Tour Director—it’s time to begin your trip! 
  • Go explore Baroque Rome with a local guide. Discover, among other sites, the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon, and the mythical Trevi Fountain.
  • Watch a gelato-making demonstration in an authentic, working laboratory to learn the art of Italian ice cream. 
  • Have dinner at a lovely local restaurant and head to the hotel for a good night's rest.

DAY 3 · ROME

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
  • Meet with a local guide and get ready for a fascinating tour of Ancient Rome. Travel back in time to the days of the gladiators during a visit to the famous Colosseum.
  • Recreate the days of the Roman Empire during an impressive Gladiator Show!
  • Enter another country as you're heading to the Vatican to visit its most famous sites: the Vatican Museums, St. Peter's Basilica and of course, the Sistine Chapel.
  • Follow your Tour Director in discovering the Trastevere district, one of the most typical and charming neighbourhoods of Rome.
  • Have dinner at a lovely local restaurant and head to the hotel for a good night's rest.

DAY 4 · ROME - SIENA

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
  • Time to make way to Tuscany! Discover the medieval town of San Gimignano to see its typical Tuscan style towers. 
  • Explore the UNESCO World Heritage site of Siena as you wander through its medieval streets, admire the stunning Piazza del Campo, see the Gothic Siena Cathedral, and enjoy the city’s rich history and vibrant culture.
  • Have dinner at a lovely local restaurant and head to the hotel for a good night's rest.

DAY 5 · CINQUE TERRE - SIENA

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
  • Embark on your epic journey across Cinque Terre, a chain of five remote towns that will take your breath away.
  • The five villages, and the surrounding hillsides are all part of the Cinque Terre National Park and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • Have dinner at a lovely local restaurant and head to the hotel for a good night's rest.

DAY 6 · FLORENCE

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
  • Enjoy a 3-hour guided tour of the Florentine city. You will discover, among other sites, the Palazzo Vecchio, the Uffizi Gallery, and the Ponte Vecchio (entrances are not included).
  • Enjoy a self-guided visit of the Uffizi Gallery and Accademia and discover some of the most renowned masterpieces of the Renaissance.
  • Work up your appetite as you learn the secrets to the fabrication of another Italian classic: pasta! 
  • Have dinner at a lovely local restaurant and head to the hotel for a good night's rest.

DAY 7 · VERONA - VENICE

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
  • Discover Verona during a guided tour that will lead you to the Amphitheatre, Ponte Pietra, and Juliet's House, where you can see the famous balcony. O Romeo!
  • Continue your travels towards Venice and enjoy some afternoon free time strolling across it's many quaint bridges.
  • Have dinner at a local restaurant and settle in for a good night's rest.

DAY 8 · VENICE

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
  • Meet with a local guide and depart for a walking tour of the charming city of Venice to see the Bridge of Sighs, St. Mark's Basilica, the Doge's Palace, the Clock Tower, and more!
  • Take a boat trip to Murano, the island of glassmakers, followed by Burano to discover its colourful houses and tradition of lacemaking.
  • Have dinner at a lovely local restaurant and head to the hotel for a good night's rest.

DAY 9 · VENICE - DEPARTURE

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director.  
  • With your head and luggage full of memories, make your way to Roma Airport to catch your flight home. Ciao Italia!
