Sample itinerary for Italy & Croatia trips

DAY 1

  • Overnight flight to Italy; 

DAY 2

  • Arrive in Rome, and let the adventures begin!
  • Enjoy a panoramic tour of the city to get a first glimpse at all the marvels of la Citta Eterna;
  • Flour, water and salt, the three basic ingredients of one the most famous Italian dishes: pizza! Dive in local gastronomy during a pizza making workshop!

DAY 3

  • Explore fascinating Ancient Rome with a local guide. To see: the Colosseum, the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill. Ave Caesar!
  • Enter another country as you're heading to the Vatican to visit its most famous sites: the Vatican Museums, St. Peter's Basilica and of course, the Sistine Chapel;
  • Recreate the days of the Roman Empire during an impressive Gladiator Show!

DAY 4

  • It's already time to leave Rome, let's hit the road towards Tuscany!
  • Admire the 2 thousand years of history that shaped the beauty of Florence during a walking tour with a local guide.
  • Roll up your sleeves, you're about to learn all the secrets of the fabrication of another Italian monument: pasta! This cooking workshop will work up your appetite!

DAY 5

  • Enter the Galleria dell' Accademia to discover the works of the greatest artists of the Renaissance era, including Michelango's famous David.
  • Overnight ferry from Ancona to Split, in Croatia

DAY 6

  • Discover Split, a beautiful city in the Dalmatian region.
  • Visit the Diocletian Palace, heritage of UNESCO, which will charm you with its unique Roman architecture dating from the 3rd century.

DAY 7

  • It’s time to discover Krka National Park, near Sibenik. Be charmed by its emerald and turquoise coloured waterfalls! Don't forget your camera!
  • Head to the Plitvice region.

DAY 8

  • Enjoy a walk and a cruise in Plitvice Lakes National Park.
  • Observe the 16 brightly colored blue and green lakes, where the waterfalls offer a breathtaking spectacle.

DAY 9

  • Enjoy a guided visit of Zagreb, capital of Croatia, and discover three parts of the city: the thousand-year old Gornji grad (Upper Town), the 19th century Donji grad (Lower Town) and the modern post-World War II area of Novi Zagreb (‘new Zagreb’).
  • Farewell dinner.

DAY 10

  • With your head and luggage full of memories, make your way to Zagreb Airport to catch your flight home. Doviđenja!
