Sample itinerary for Ireland & Scotland trips

DAY 1 · DEPARTURE

  • Meet with your group at your local airport and take off aboard your overnight flight to Dublin.

DAY 2 · DUBLIN

  • Arrive in Dublin and meet your Tour Director—it’s time to begin your trip!
  • Discover Dublin on a walking tour with your local guide, from the River Liffey to the bustling streets of Temple Bar. Admire the Georgian architecture and learn about Dublin's role in the 1916 uprising.
  • Visit Trinity College, home to the Old Library and the famous "Book of Kells."
  • Explore St. Patrick's Cathedral, dedicated to the Patron Saint of the Irish, and symbol of Ireland's conversion to Christianity
  • Have dinner at a lovely local restaurant and head to the hotel for a good night's rest.

DAY 3 · DUBLIN

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
  • Visit Croke Park, the third-largest stadium in Europe, for your initiation to Gaelic games, including hurling, handball and Gaelic football.
  • Enjoy some free time around Temple Bar, the beating heart of Dublin culture. Stroll along the streets and alleys and enjoy the music and street art artists. Time to live like an Irish!
  • Have dinner at a lovely local restaurant and head to the hotel for a good night's rest.

DAY 4 · DUBLIN - BELFAST

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
  • When you hear the name Belfast you are likely to think of it's battles and it's industrial past, however in reality, Belfast is rich in heritage and cultural identity. Time for an orientation tour followed by some free time to explore.
  • Uncover the true legend of the Titanic, in the city where it all began! Explore the shipyard, walk the decks and travel to the depths of the ocean as you make your way through the 9 interactive galleries of the Titanic Experience.
  • Have dinner at a lovely local restaurant and head to the hotel for a good night's rest.

DAY 5 · BELFAST - GLASGOW

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
  • Visit the Giant’s Causeway and enjoy the breathtaking views of this natural site, heard to be the result of a battle between Scottish and Irish giants.
  • Take a ferry from Ireland to Scotland, and continue the drive to Glasgow. 
  • Discover Glasgow and explore the city with your tour leader. Enjoy this former industrial city, now flourishing with a vibrant atmosphere, far from the image depicted in the famous movie Trainspotting.
  • Have dinner at a lovely local restaurant and head to the hotel for a good night's rest.

DAY 6 · GLASGOW - EDINBURGH

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
  • Enjoy a walking of Edinburgh, Scotland's capital city and discover the Old City and its medieval atmosphere and walk along the narrow passages and alleys.
  • You can't visit Edinburgh without taking a tour of its famous Castle. It is the symbol of the city and the most famous of Scotland, dating back from the 12th century. Beware, you may meet a ghost or two.
  • Discover the gloomy and haunted alleys of the city in the company of your guide ... ghost ...
  • Have dinner at a lovely local restaurant and head to the hotel for a good night's rest.

DAY 7 · EDINBURGH - FORT WILLIAM

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
  • Experience the innovative Falkirk Wheel, a boat lift that elevates vessels 35 metres high to join the Union Canal, before making your way to Edinburgh for the night.
  • Explore Stirling Castle, a symbol of Scotland’s struggle for independence, known for its colourful history.
  • Learn about Scotland’s fight for independence at the Wallace Monument, which commemorates the 13th-century hero William Wallace.
  • Have dinner at a lovely local restaurant and head to the hotel for a good night's rest.

DAY 8 · FORT WILLIAM - INVERNESS

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
  • Follow your Tour Director along Inverness's Historic Trail and enjoy the best of the Old City and the New Town. Discover iconic monuments such as the 12th-century Inverness Castle, the cathedral, and the Victorian Market.
  • Sail on Scotland’s most famous lake during your cruise on Loch Ness, and visit the impressive ruins of Urquhart Castle, with a chance to spot the legendary Loch Ness Monster.
  • Explore the impressive ruins of Urquhart Castle, which is located right next to the lake and has more than 1000 years of history.
  • Have dinner at a lovely local restaurant and head to the hotel for a good night's rest.

DAY 9 · INVERNESS - GLASGOW

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
  • Discover the impressive past of the Glencoe Valley on your visit of the visitor center and let yourself be impress by its rugged beauty and distinctive landscapes.
  • Head back to Glasgow through Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Enjoy the dramatic landscapes of the Highlands, so typical of the region.
  • Have dinner at a lovely local restaurant and head to the hotel for a good night's rest.

DAY 10 · GLASGOW - DEPARTURE

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
  • With your head and luggage full of memories, make your way to the Glasgow airport to catch your flight home.
