Sample itinerary for Mainland Greece trips

DAY 1 · DEPARTURE 

  • Meet with your group at your local airport and take off aboard your overnight flight to Athens. 

DAY 2 · ATHENS

  • Arrival in Athens and meet your Tour Director—it’s time to begin your trip! 
  • Follow your Tour Director through the picturesque streets of the completely pedestrianized Plaka district. Don't miss the Monastiraki flea market, where you will find exceptional souvenirs.
  • Have dinner at a lovely local restaurant before settling into your rooms for the night.

DAY 3 · ATHENS

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director.  
  • Embark on an epic panoramic tour of the Greek capital, including the Panathenaic Stadium, the Parliament, the National Library, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, and much more! 
  • Walk the path of ancient teachers, philosophers, and heroes as you discover the impressive Acropolis, a natural fortress that rises 100 meters above the lower town. 
  • Have dinner at a local restaurant and head to the hotel for a good night's rest.

DAY 4 · ATHENS - DELPHI

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
  • Follow a local guide on a tour of the archaeological site of Delphi, one of the most important in Greece. The remains will leave you speechless!
  • Visit a cheese factory and sample some local varieties like feta—a Greek favourite.
  • Discover Arachova, a charming village near Mount Parnassos, with its picturesque streets and stunning views.
  • Have dinner at a local restaurant and head to the hotel for a good night's rest.

DAY 5 · TOLO

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director.  
  • All aboard! It's time to make way to Tolo for a visit the archaeological site of Olympia. Explore the ancient ruins of the first Olympic Games, admire the grand Temple of Zeus, and walk through the historic stadium.
  • Have dinner at a local restaurant and head to the hotel for a good night's rest.

DAY 6 · ATHENS

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director.  
  • Explore Mycenae by wandering through the legendary ruins of this ancient civilization, as featured in the Iliad and the Odyssey.
  • Visit Epidaurus, one of the most beautiful sites of classical Greece, featuring the Temple of Asclepius, its sacred fountain, the Tholos, and its theater, renowned for its unique acoustics.
  • Discover the secrets of olive oil production during a guided tour of an olive oil plantation, followed by a tasting!
  • Let’s continue our exploration at the Corinth Canal, an impressive artificial waterway with origins that date back to ancient Greece.
  • Have dinner at a local restaurant and head to the hotel for a good night's rest.

DAY 7 · ATHENS

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director.  
  • Embark on a full-day cruise to the picturesque islands of Aegina, Poros, and Hydra, exploring charming villages, turquoise waters, and ancient sites.
  • Head back to Athens for dinner before a good night's rest.

DAY 8 · ATHENS

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director.  
  • Roll up your sleeves and get ready for an exciting cooking workshop in a local taverna! Plus, you'll have the chance to taste what you’ve made!
  • Depart for Cape Sounion, located in the Aegean Sea, where you can explore the ruins of a temple dedicated to Poseidon, the god of the sea.
  • Return to Athens for your final group dinner before heading to the hotel for a good night's rest.

DAY 9 · ATHENS - DEPARTURE

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director.  
  • With your head and luggage full of memories, make your way to Athens Airport to catch your flight home. Farewell, Greece!
