DAY 1 · DEPARTURE

  • Meet with your group at your local airport and take off aboard your overnight flight to Budapest.

DAY 2 · BUDAPEST

  • Arrive in Budapest and meet your Tour Director—it’s time to begin your trip!
  • Stretch your legs on an orientation tour of Vaci Utca, the main shopping street and central hub of Budapest with your Tour Director, followed by some free time in the area. 
  • Have dinner at a lovely local restaurant before checking in at the hotel for a good night's rest.

DAY 3 · BUDAPEST

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
  • Discover the Buda Castle District, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, visit St. Matthias Church, and enjoy panoramic views from Fisherman’s Bastion.
  • Cross the famous Chain Bridge to Pest for a visit to St. Stephen’s Basilica, known for its impressive dome.
  • Head to the Széchenyi thermal baths to relax in a variety of indoor and outdoor thermal pools, surrounded by impressive neo-baroque architecture.
  • Have dinner at a lovely local restaurant and head to the hotel for a good night's rest.

DAY 4 · BUDAPEST - VIENNA

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
  • Explore the exhibits of the House of Terror Museum, which focuses on Hungary’s fascist and communist regimes, providing powerful insights into the country’s history.
  • Tour Bratislava Castle, St. Martin’s Cathedral, Old Town Hall and Primate’s Palace. Don’t miss a photo with Cumil—the famous local statue.
  • Get your first glimpse of the beauty of Vienna as you drive along Ringstrasse and pass by major historical sites such as the Parliament, the Neue Burg, and the Rathaus.
  • Have dinner at a lovely local restaurant and head to the hotel for a good night's rest.

DAY 5 · VIENNA

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
  • See the historic sites of Vienna on a guided tour, including the Danube River, Hofburg Palace, St. Michael’s Square, and St. Stephen’s Cathedral, and more.
  • During free time for lunch, try the delicious Sacher cake at Café Demel or Café Sacher—the choice is yours!
  • Welcome to Prater Park, which may seem familiar as its Ferris Wheel is the city's symbol and appears on every postcard! Enjoy free time to explore the Wurstelpark, a permanent fair in the heart of the largest park in the city. Why not practice a few waltz steps between attractions?
  • Vienna is known for its indulgent desserts. Embrace it as you learn to be a chocolatier for a day at the Chocolate Museum.
  • Have dinner at a lovely local restaurant and head to the hotel for a good night's rest.

DAY 6 · VIENNA - PRAGUE

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
  • Explore Schönbrunn Castle, the former imperial residence, often referred to as “Viennese Versailles,” followed by some free time to roam the magnificent castle gardens.
  • As you bid "Auf Wiedersehen" to Austria and make your way to Český Krumlov, Czech Republic, prepare to discover this charming city with your Tour Director. Admire its historic and architectural heritage, which provides a delightful preview of the country’s capital, Prague, on a smaller scale. Explore the castle and stroll along the Vltava River to see why this enchanting city was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • Arrive in the City of a Hundred Spires, the one-and-only, Prague! Enjoy an orientation tour with your Tour Director as you head to "U Vejvode" for a traditional Czech dinner. Dobrou chuť!
  • After dinner you'll return to the hotel to relax and unwind for the night.

DAY 7 · PRAGUE

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
  • Head on a historic panorama tour, where you’ll take in views from Strahov Hill, visit Prague Castle, St. Vitus Cathedral, the Golden Lane, the Prague Jewish Quarter, and Old Town Prague with its famous Astronomical Clock.
  • Try a local delicacy called Trdelnik, also known as chimney cakes, during some free time for lunch.
  • Discover Cold War history and espionage on the unique Iron Curtain Tour. Learn about the history of Communism in Czechoslovakia during the Cold War, hear stories of terror, propaganda, spies, and lies, and understand the significance of Prague Spring and the Soviet invasion of 1968. The tour concludes in a real nuclear bunker from the 1950s!
  • Get ready for a dinner cruise on the Vltava River! Admire the city from a new perspective while enjoying good food and live music, before returning to the hotel at the end of the evening. 

DAY 8 · PRAGUE - KRAKOW

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
  • Go on a city tour of Krakow to explore the Old Jewish Quarter, Corpus Christi Basilica, Cloth Hall, Remuh Synagogue, and Collegium Maius.
  • Sample Krakow’s culinary delights and hear stories from local foodie legends.
  • Enjoy some free time to explore the Old Town at your own pace and shop for souvenirs.
  • Have dinner at a lovely local restaurant and head to the hotel for a good night's rest.

DAY 9 · KRAKOW

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
  • Visit the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp, a symbol of the Holocaust. Composed of several main camps and many sub-camps, the site was transformed into a museum in 1947 to preserve the memory of the events.
  • Tour the Wieliczka Salt Mines and discover the development of mining techniques in Europe from the 13th to the 20th centuries. 
  • Have dinner at a lovely local restaurant and head to the hotel for a good night's rest.

DAY 10 · KRAKOW

  • Breakfast and orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
  • With your head and luggage full of memories, make your way to the Krakow airport to catch your flight home.
