STUDENT TOURS TO COLOMBIA - ADVENTURE PROGRAMS

DAY 1 · DEPARTURE

• Meet with your group at your local airport and take off aboard your flight to Bogotá.
• Arrive in Bogotá and meet your Tour Director—it’s time to begin your trip!
• Enjoy a delicious dinner at a local restaurant and check in at your hotel for a good night’s rest.

DAY 2 · BOGOTÁ

• Begin your day with breakfast and an orientation session at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
• Explore Bogotá’s colonial history as you wander its colourful streets and visit the iconic Plaza Bolívar, the Capitol, cathedral, and presidential residence.
• Visit the Botero Foundation, home to the iconic Colombian artist's collection.
• Learn to prepare traditional empanadas in a fun and interactive cooking class.
• Discover Latin America’s largest collection of pre-Columbian gold coins and metalwork during your visit of the Gold Museum, offering a deep dive into Colombia's pre-conquest history.
• Experience Bogotá’s street art scene with a guided tour of its famous murals, followed by a hands-on graffiti art workshop.
• Enjoy a delicious dinner at a local restaurant and return to the hotel for the night.

DAY 3 · BOGOTÁ - BOLIVAR

• Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
• Embark on a service-learning day in Ciudad Bolívar with the INTITEKOA Foundation, supporting one of Bogotá’s most underserved neighbourhoods for over 15 years. Through education, culture, robotics, gardening, and games, they foster social connections and empower local children.
• Get involved in different projects during a full day of discussions, workshops and games. (Lunch is included during this activity.)
• Enjoy delicious dinner at a local restaurant and return to the hotel for the night.

DAY 4 · BOGOTÁ - NEMOCÓN - VILLA DE LEYVA

• Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
• Drive to Nemocón to tour the impressive underground salt mine that hides 80-meter-deep galleries, highlighting both natural and man-made sculptures.
• Continue your travels towards Villa de Levya and stroll through this charming city known for its stunning colonial architecture.
• Enjoy a delicious dinner at a local restaurant and check in to the hotel for the night.

DAY 5 · RAQUIRA - BOCAYÁ - VILLA DE LEYVA

• Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
• Visit El Infiernito Archaeological Park to explore Monquira’s stone monoliths, discover their use as a calendar, and delve into ancient Muisca mythology.
• Tour a local craft factory and discover the unique art of Tagua carving, where artists transform Ivory-Nut Palm seeds into stunning sculptures.
• Travel to Raquira to visit Colombia’s pottery capital. You'll tour a ceramic workshop and discover the craft that dates back to pre-Columbian times.
• Continue your travels to Boyacá, where a local family will welcome you for a delicious lunch in a bicentennial house. 
• Attend a traditional weaving demonstration and learn to make a "Ruana," Colombia's iconic poncho. Then, try your hand at Tejo, a game where you throw a metal disc to make a firecracker explode.
• Return to Villa de Leyva for dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel.

DAY 6 · VILLA DE LEYVA

• Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
• Lace up your hiking shoes for a scenic trek around Villa de Leyva, exploring its rich flora and fauna, with a stop for a picnic lunch along the way.
• Return to Villa de Leyva for a relaxing afternoon, with free time to rest or explore.
• Enjoy a delicious dinner at a local restaurant and return to the hotel for the night.

DAY 7 · VILLA DE LEYVA - CUNDINAMARCA

• Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
• Continue your journey towards Cundinamarca, where you will discover Guatavita Lagoon, an enchanting sacred site steeped in the legend of El Dorado.
• Explore the stunning Nemocón salt mine, where 80-meter-deep galleries reveal both natural and man-made sculptures.
• Travel to Bogotá, where you will check in at your hotel and enjoy a delicious dinner at a folkloric restaurant, known for the local artists that come demonstrate their art at your table.
• Return to the hotel for a final good night of rest.
  

DAY 8· BOGOTÁ - DEPARTURE

• Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel with your Tour Director. 
• With your head and luggage full of memories, make your way to El Dorado International Airport to catch your flight home.
